Episode 47 – Roar (1981) and Lost Soul: the Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau (2014)
It’s a ferocious double feature this week with Roar, the 1981 Tippi Hedren film where a family lives with real big cats – and we do mean real. These were untrained animals, resulting in over 70 on set injuries. It’s a terrifying film. Then we have Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s Island of Dr. Moreau, a documentary about some of the behind the scenes drama that happened on the set of Island of Dr. Moreau, the notorious Hollywood failure.
